Louisville Metro has agreed to allow us to accept absentee bidding, specific terms apply so visit our online bidding website to review those terms & to sign up for the absentee bidding.

Louisville Metro Government will hold a surplus vehicle auction on Thursday, July 21, @ 10:00 on the Fleet Services Lot, at 3515 Newburg Road. We are scheduled to have 60 vehicles, including but not limited to: Ford Crown Victoria’s P71, Ford Explorers, Ford F-250 4x4, a single axle dump, Arctic Cat 4x4 and much more, check out the inventory the Metro Government had provided for information & condition on these vehicles. Mileages on these vehicles have not been verified. Mileage usually ranges from 100 - 175K per vehicle. Many vehicles will have keys and titles, some vehicles will have keys and salvage titles. A few vehicles will be junk and sold as scrap only. Many vehicles were in operational condition prior to service retirement, but due to time of sitting idle some may require maintenance to be returned to operational condition. All known information will be posted on the vehicle windshield at time of auction. Bidders must register to bid with the auction company prior to any preview of the auction vehicles. Bidder registration begins starting at 8:00 am the day of the auction. No prior previews on the lot before the day of auction.  Bidders shall check for any missing equipment on vehicles and verify VIN, make & model prior to bidding. The Auction Inventory List will show vehicles with salvage titles and missing keys. All vehicles will be sold as is with no warranty, refunds or exchanges, all sales are final.

TERMS & CONDITIONS: Per Metro Government Credit cards will not be accepted at this auction.

Payment: All payments shall be made to Louisville Metro Government. Acceptable forms of payment are local company check, certified check, cashier’s check, money orders and cash. Vehicles must be paid for by 2:00 pm on July 21, 2015. Successful Bidders that do not pay for vehicles will be barred from future Louisville Metro Vehicle Auctions. Full payment is required 2:00 on auction day. All payments shall be made to Louisville Metro Government. Acceptable forms of payment are: local company check, Certified Check, Cashier’s Check, Money Order or cash. Checks shall be made payable to Louisville Metro Government. Kentucky State Sales Tax will be collected as required by the Kentucky State Revenue Cabinet. Without exception Kentucky Sales Tax Exemption Certificates must be presented by the bidder at time of registration to be exempt. Per Metro Government Credit cards will not be accepted at this auction.

All vehicles must be removed by 2:00 p.m. on the day of the auction or between the hours of 8:00 am & 2:00 p.m. on the two days following the auction.Purchase payment receipts must be presented in order for the vehicle to be removed from the storage facility. A valid insurance card must be presented at time of payment in order to drive the vehicles off the lot, with no insurance card vehicles must be towed off the property, this will be strictly enforced. Any vehicle remaining after 2:00 pm on July 25 will be taken to the Louisville Metro Impound Lot and bidders will have to pay for the tow & storage unless arrangements are made with Louisville Metro Fleet Services for late pick-up.

BUYER TAKE NOTICE:

All vehicles are sold “as is”. All sales are final. Bidders will be allowed to make visual inspections of the vehicles prior to the start of the auction, but will not be allowed to attempt to start them. Some parts / equipment may be missing from vehicles. It is the Bidders responsibility to check for any missing equipment / parts. Any Police Equipment (decals, emergency lights, communication equipment, etc.) will be removed prior to any vehicle being removed from the lot. It is the Bidders responsibility to check on the Auction Inventory List for vehicles that have Salvage Titles or for vehicle that do not have keys. Any vehicle may be pulled from the auction at anytime to meet the needs of Metro Government. Vehicle Condition Codes: NS no-start. UNK unknown condition, K Key.


Metro Government may impose additional terms which will be announced at the live auction. Any terms announced at the live auction will take precedence over all previous announcements. Metro Government reserves the right to accept or reject any bids.

Load out: Successful bidders are responsible for loading and removal of any and all property awarded to them from the place where the property is located. The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all loading and transportation of the property. No mechanical repairs of any kind can be performed on Metro Property. Under no circumstances will Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government assume responsibility for loading, shipping or transporting. A valid insurance card must be presented at time of payment in order to drive the vehicles off the lot, no insurance card vehicles must be towed or put on a trailer to be removed off the property. Any vehicle remaining after 2:00 pm on July 25, 2016 will be taken to the Louisville Metro Impound Lot and bidders will have to pay for the tow & storage unless arrangements are made with Louisville Metro Fleet Services for late pick-up.

Any vehicle scheduled for auction may be removed from the auction to meet the needs of Louisville Metro Government. Additional terms may be announced at time of auction and all terms announced on auction day shall take precedence over all previous announcements.
